Since Jacob won't be home until bedtime tomorrow night, we won't do presents until Saturday, but honestly James doesn't really know about the presents anyway. But, I can't just pretend it's any old day, so of course tomorrow morning I'll sing "Happy Birthday" to him. I can picture it now. I'll start singing and he'll get mad and starting yelling, "Shhh! No, Mommy! You have to be quiet!"
I always decorate the dining room for each boy the night before their birthday, after they go to bed.
James will awake to Blaze and the Monster Machines, and his favorite food...mini chocolate donuts!
And, you better bet he'll have a candle in a donut!
I told Daniel about everything tonight and said it's a surprise for James, so he's really excited. When I told him about the candle in the donut he smiled and said, "Oh! Like that time you put my birthday candle on my toast!?" That was when he turned 4 and I absolutely love that he remembers that.
I really don't know what else we'll do tomorrow. I'd like to find something special to do, but it will also revolve around the plumber who is coming to hopefully fix the pipes under the sink. I asked him today what he wanted to do for his birthday and all he said was, "3!" which is of course how old he's turning. I asked where we should go and he said, "Target!" Ha!
I turn into a sentimental fool every November. I love remembering and retelling birth stories. Click HERE for James' birth story! There's just something so very special about it. All of the baby pictures start popping back up and my heart sometimes just can't take how quickly they're growing.
So, of course I've got to post some newborn pictures of my baby boy.

Love! Love! Love!
