Happy (Un)Thanksgiving!

Traditions have changed over the years. Since the year Daniel was born I don't think we've celebrated Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving. That first year, we were still in the hospital. They had turkey on the menu, but I ordered pot roast and mashed potatoes. It was delicious. In all honesty, I could take or leave turkey anyway.

This year we could have celebrated today, but Grandma gets to come over tomorrow, so we held off, which is fine with me! We'll also get to celebrate the boys' birthdays. Plus, Gilmore Girls is released tomorrow!

Today was just a normal day around here. The boys had fun playing with Mimi, Pa and Aunt Nens. Kendra and I went to Kohl's and Target tonight. Apparently this is becoming a new tradition for us. This year we were home almost an hour and a half earlier than last year, and I got what I went for at Kohl's, so I was happy.

Sometimes I think it's cheesy to list off all of the things that we're thankful for because a lot of times it's always the same answers, but then I realized that I really am thankful for those things!

Some of the things I am thankful for this year are:

*God's gift of salvation. His eternal love for me. His grace and his new mercies every morning.

*My family. All family. Near and far!

*Friendships old and new.

* A roof over my head...even when I feel like the whole house is falling apart, I am grateful that we have a place to live.

*Chocolate, because what kind of life would this be without chocolate?

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
