I ended up having to wake him back up to get him ready for bed, but before I did I had a giant meltdown. I just started bawling and couldn't stop. I needed it though.
I got Daniel settled for the night, chowed down a Reese's Fast Break and popped some Tylenol PM. I was fast asleep by 10:00. Unfortunately, I was awakened at 11:30 and couldn't get Daniel back to sleep. Actually, I could...but as soon as I laid him down he'd wake up screaming. I'd wait about 15 minutes and then go back in. After an hour and a half, (and being doped up on Tylenol PM) I thought, "Forget this! We both had a bad day and it won't kill us to let him sleep in bed with me tonight." And so we did. We slept peacefully until Jacob was up and showering. I fed Daniel a little and laid him back in his bed where he slept for another hour or so.
I woke up this morning and prayed that it would be better! I got ready for work and Daniel and I headed off. I got there 10 minutes early and put away stuff I didn't want out and got out a few other things. Then I whipped out the Clorox wipes and went to town. My first kiddos didn't come in until 9:10 which was great. I kept waiting for the wave of kids like yesterday, but it didn't happen. I ended up with 5. A glorious number compared to yesterday. The twin 2 year old boys were my biggest challenge, but basically they were just being 2!
Daniel did better with less kids. I wish every day could be like that, but I guess there will be crazy days and calm days. He just melts my heart though!

Oh, and funny story that I just remembered. Daniel "stole" for the first time today. He spotted the twins eating goldfish crackers, crawled over and swiped one. In that little boys mind, the world ended. He was crying so hard (even though his mom sent a big ol' container so there were plenty!)...and then there's Daniel just chillin' on the floor happily chomping away. He had no clue what was going on. So funny! The little boys mom thought it was funny too!
After we left, I decided I was going to vote. I voted the first year I could, but skipped out the last time. I felt like I should this time though. One of the election judges was kind enough to offer to hold Daniel for me. I told her that would be great, but only if she didn't mind a snotty nose! She didn't at all. I got the choice of a paper ballot or electronic, so I tried out electronic. Very cool! Then they gave Daniel my sticker. What a rip off! LOL!

We came home, had lunch and played for awhile before nap time. Then I got his laundry folded and the dishes done while he was napping.
Jacob came home as soon as school was out and skipped musical practice. He was feeling better and then today felt even worse than he had been. Sickness is hitting very hard around here! I just want us all to be better!
Anyway, we just chilled out tonight. Now the little guy is snoozing and I should probably head that way soon too.
Haha! Love that Daniel swiped a goldfish. :)
