Happy Friday!

Now that I'm kind of back in the working world, it looks like I'll be looking forward to the weekends again. I haven't really cared that much for the last year!

Jacob left for school later this morning, so he actually got to see Daniel before leaving. After I showered, Daniel and I had breakfast. I tried giving him milk. He did take a few sips, but wasn't overly thrilled by it. Then again...he doesn't much care about drinking from a cup still. He drinks water sometimes, but it's usually when I let him carry his cup around. I don't really want him carrying milk around the house though.

Then we headed off to work. It was pretty laid back today. My difficult girls were back, but the older sister was somewhat better. I made her listen to my rules and then put her in a time out when she wasn't listening. I kind of forgot I sat her there and a few minutes later she quietly says, "I wissen now." Ha ha! Thankfully she did!

I took my camera with me so I could get a few pictures of Daniel at play. He has definitely become a little snack thief!

The little boy at the table across from Daniel really likes him and is very sweet to him. His mom teaches a class at the Y and when she came back we were chatting. He and his sister apparently have been requesting a baby brother for a year. She said it's not gonna happen. I guess Daniel can be their part time little brother because they're awfully cute!

My happy little guy!

As we were getting ready to leave, Jacob called and asked if I could go buy batteries and bring him his tennis shoes (the musical is tonight and they have dress rehearsal all afternoon!) I ran to Walgreen's and got batteries and then home to get his shoes, then off to Assumption. We played at the school for a little while before heading home.

I stopped at McDonald's before coming home and then Bubby and I had lunch together.

He was not very enthusiastic about taking a nap because he slept in the car for awhile. I knew he needed more rest though so finally after a 45 minute battle with himself he fell asleep.

It's just he and I this evening. I'm thinking early jammies, playtime and a movie are in order.

  1. It's fun to see Daniel at play and to see where you work. Good job on the time out, nothing wrong with that - unless you forget ;)

at our child watch no snacks, no sippy cups - bottles yes for little ones, and the kids wear just their socks or socks we have if they don't have any - funny the differences :)

    love you, Mommagirl!

  2. I agree with Kathy - he is so CUTE! I know I say that a lot about Daniel - but darn it - he is so CUTE!!! Not that you don't know that of course.

Good idea about the jammies - I know you are related to your Mother and your Aunt Jeanne for sure.
