Guess Who Can Stand?

Holy windy day, Batman! Yesterday or today would've have been good days to rake our yard, but I refuse to battle the wind. We did that last year and it didn't go so well!

Daniel is either recuperating or hitting a growth spurt because he's been sleeping a lot! Yesterday he slept in until 8:30, although he was up a few times in the night. Then he went down for a nap at 12:30 and slept until almost 4. He was back to sleep for the night at 8:30 and slept THROUGH THE NIGHT! He woke up at 7! Now he's been napping for 2 hours. Sleepy boy!

This morning Daniel and I went to church, while Jacob stayed home to rest. He still isn't fully recovered from being sick and wanted to rest before going to school again for the musical. It was my day to work in the nursery, so off we went. Daniel really enjoys crawling around and exploring everything. Plus working in the nursery at church is more fun than the Y because I work with someone else who I can talk to!

Here's Daniel playing at church.

He is also learning a new little trick! I was really glad I captured this!

He really has to be in the mood to stand, or not paying attention to what he's doing. He taking lots of half steps before dropping down to his knees though! I can't believe we'll have a walker soon!

It's been a pretty relaxing weekend. Tomorrow starts another work week. I'm a little scared of tomorrow. A few of the parents told me that Monday seems to be the busy day. I'm going to lose my mind if I have 15 kids again! At least I can get it over with at the beginning of the week!

I just scheduled 1 year pictures for Daniel on Wednesday afternoon. I was really hoping for Saturday morning, but they were booked through the morning. I kind of forgot it's their busy season with Christmas portraits. We're going to try for late afternoon after he's napped. I just need a happy boy! He's really a morning person, but sadly weekday mornings don't work for me anymore. Oh well. Hopefully it all works out. I don't think I'll purchase many pictures to begin with...although it will be tempting! I want to hold off until I find out if they're offering the same Black Friday deal as last year. If so, I will be able to order a whole CD of pictures for $50...compared to the $150 they usually charge for a CD.

Then next Sunday we're going to have just a little birthday party here for Daniel. Grandma and Grandpa Elam will come and hopefully a couple of our friends will be able to make it. I'm making a cake and hoping I don't ruin it while frosting it like I ALWAYS do. Cake and frosting hate me. I'm going to give him a few presents that day and then take a couple to Iowa with us for him to open on his real birthday too. Sure, he won't know the difference, but I would. Ha ha!

I got him another birthday gift today! I had a drum with instruments that I really wanted for him, on his Amazon wish list. It's $25 on Amazon, but I bought one off of someone locally today for $5 and it's in amazing shape! Yay for bargains.

Guess that's all in the world of me today.
