So Over It

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm pretty much over winter. I have been for quite some time now. Winter is my least favorite season, but despite that I actually did enjoy it for awhile this year. The snow was fun, but Saturday when I saw flakes falling from the sky I just cringed. It wasn't even sticking, but they were HUGE flakes and I was not happy about it. I'm ready for green grass, flowers, birds chirping and being able to open the windows. I'm not fond of March. You never know what the weather will be like. One day it's 65 and then next it's 35. I don't like being teased. I think once it reaches 60 it should just kinda stay there. Seems logical enough, right? :)

I've had quite an interesting week or so.  Last week I had 3 new babies start. Two of which are pretty high maintenance. In other words, they scream a lot. One more than the other. I really need to dig deep some days to survive. I know we'll get past it, but that cry is ear piercing! It is fun having new ones though. It's been awhile since I've had really little ones. Back to lots and lots of bottles!

Over the weekend I helped Jacob at Solo and Ensemble which his school was hosting. It's a big music event. 23 schools were there that day. I wasn't sure what I would be doing, but soon found my job working in the Scoring Office alongside the middle school secretary and another middle school teacher. We worked for about 8 hours recording scores and posting them. I really wasn't sure that I would have fun that day, but ended up having a blast. It's been confirmed that they will host again next year, and the secretary already said we're working together again! It was so much fun! I love doing office work. Is it weird that I think I would really enjoy being a secretary or receptionist?

Afterward Jacob had to help bring some instruments back to Taylorville High School in the school van, so I rode back with him since he was going to go back for a trivia night. We had to follow the Taylorville bus back, and they took the longest way possible. At that point I wasn't feeling great and couldn't wait to just get home! Once I did, I laid on the couch all night and watched stuff on Netflix. I enjoy having that. We use it a lot!

Anyway...I'm hoping the week goes by quickly. I think I wish away too much time sometimes, but I really love weekends.

  1. I totally agree with you about winter! I'm sooo over it too. Maybe you should try your hand at being a secretary. I've always liked it, altho not always liked the places I've been, if that makes sense. I, however, do not have a desire to go into childcare.
