I'm typing this blog on our new computer! My old was was eaten my Malware. It's something my dad can eventually fix for us, but it had been running extremely slow for quite awhile. It finally got completely invaded on Friday. It wasn't an easy decision to get a new one because they're costly, but it was worth it. This one is running much more efficiently, and we don't have to deal with Windows Vista anymore. I'm really liking Windows 7 so far.
I was so thankful for the weekend and knowing that we would just be able to stay at home and relax. Last week was a long one. We're still trying to adjust to our new babies. Honestly, some babies are just hard to enjoy. I'm sure eventually we'll bond. It always seems like that ones that drive me up a wall and make me want to curl up in a corner and cry, are the ones I end up bonding with later. Time will tell, but I sure wish time would hurry up!
Friday night we hung out at home and watched Grown Ups. Almost everyone says it's hilarious, but we really didn't think it was all that funny. There are funny parts to it, but it was just kind of all over the place.
Saturday I stayed in bed until 8:00 and then we went to get our computer. Jacob spent the next couple of hours getting it all hooked up for us and then we enjoyed playing around on it in the afternoon. Saturday night we started watching Parks and Recreation on Netflix. Jacob has been watching it from the start, but I haven't. I can't stop watching now. It cracks me up!
Yesterday we got up late. We set our clocks ahead, but forgot to set our alarms. We still were able to get ready and be at church early. Had an interesting discussion in Sunday School. I still don't say much, but I listen and have lots of thoughts going on in my head. My problem is, that I don't have enough confidence in what I'm thinking to say it out loud and then I'm never able to get what I'm thinking in my mind to come out sounding remotely close to what I want it to sound like! I'm always impressed at the way other people are able to express themselves. My way is by typing it out. :)
In the afternoon, Kent and Brenda came over for a visit. It was fun having them over and getting to see them. We hung out at the house and then went out for supper. It sure was nice getting home a little after 7 and still having a little bit of light outside! I love it when the days get longer!
Now we're at the beginning of a new week. Hopefully a good week. Today wasn't too bad and now it's time to curl up on the couch and turn off my brain for the next 2 hours while I watch the Bachelor finale. It's been fun this season, because Heidi and I have had a "texting date" every Monday night during the Bachelor! The funny thing is, we already both know who he picks, but it's still a lot of fun!
it's been tons of fun! :)
ReplyDeleteI am sure it's hard getting to know new people, especially when they are babies. Hang in there Rachel, that's all I got.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting a new computer, that is an investment I think!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun spending time with friends - always a blessing!
