30 Random Things You May Not Even Care About

I do this occasionally because it's fun and I like when other people do it too. My sisters both  have, so now it's my turn. You're supposed to write 30 random facts, habits or goals about yourself and tag 30 people, which I shall do later on Facebook. Hopefully I won't repeat too many things I've already said in other ones and some of this stuff you probably already know about me, but too bad, you get to read it again.

1. Whenever I get the hiccups, I rarely only get them once in a day. I'll get them 2 or 3 times.

2. I have an irrational fear of dentists. I didn't know how bad my fear was until last spring when I basically had a panic attack in the chair and started crying.

3. I am completely addicted to playing Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook.

4. I get bronchitis a lot. Last year I think I cracked my rib from coughing so hard, even if my doctor didn't fully believe it. Why else did I have a shooting pain in my rib cage for 3 months?

5. At Wendy's their chicken nuggets are called "Crispy Chicken Nuggets". One time Erica and I went there and instead of just asking for chicken nuggets, I read it off the board...only it came out "Chicky Crispen Nuggets". This made us ERUPT into laughter and I'm pretty sure they guy working thought I was a complete idiot.

6. I've seen every episode of Friends AT LEAST a half a dozen times and I still laugh every single time. I don't think I will ever get tired of watching it.

7. I have been in 20 different states and 3 countries (if you count being in the airport in 2 of those countries).

8. I may appear to be quiet and reserved, but when I really get into a football game I am a complete nutcase. I hold back a lot when I'm in a big group, but ask my husband...I really do scream at the TV.

9. After working with infants for 7 years I am really particular about baby products. I have all of my favorite items and others that I hate. I think this will be quite useful for when we have kids.

10. I dream of traveling to Europe. I say this a lot, and don't know if it will ever be a reality, but I think it would be a lot of fun. I wouldn't mind going to Ukraine while I was over there either.

11. Christmas in my very favorite holiday, even though it falls in my least favorite season.

12. I have a really random memory. I can remember completely useless pieces of information, but give me something important to remember and it vanishes from my brain.

13. I don't know how I do it, but I wear holes in the bottoms of my socks faster than anyone I know. Jacob is in awe of the amount of socks I go through.

14. I hold back on a lot of things that I really want to say to people. Sometimes I wish I had the nerve to just tell people like it is, but I keep it to myself . When I do actually say something like I want to, I usually end up feeling bad about it.

15. When I was little I wanted to be a kindergarten teacher or a nurse when I grew up. I also wanted to be a flight attendant one time too.

16. I hate things with floral scents like lotions and candles, but I love the smell of flowers.

17. I like when I go somewhere where I get to dress up. I LOVED getting to wear my wedding dress because I felt so pretty. (I would've loved it more if that dang corset wasn't sucking the life out of me though)

18. I can literally give myself goosebumps just by imagining the sound of fingernails on a chalkboard.

19. I think I'm the only person alive who actually loves the taste of Pepto Bismol.

20. For some reason when I see someone get hurt (but not seriously hurt) I get the overwhelming urge to laugh...and a lot of times I do. I don't know why. I feel bad, but it's so funny.

21. I'm not one to eat strange things, but I did eat a fried turkey heart in Ukraine. Not kidding...it kind of tasted like chicken. Haha. Tough, chewy chicken though.

22. I took a nursing class my senior year in high school and got to hold a human heart, brain, lung and liver right out of a cadaver. It was pretty awesome.

23. If I'm reading a book by my favorite author, I read it as slowly as possible to make it last because I don't want it to end.

24. I can't wait until I become a mom. It'll happen in God's time, but it's something that I really look forward to being.

25. I like to price compare and try to get good deals. Sometimes it works and sometimes I don't have the patience for it.

26. I get really stressed out when I have to go somewhere I've never been before. Having a GPS has helped some of that anxiety because I'm not as likely to get lost.

27. I really wish I knew how to do cute things with my hair, but I'm a lost cause I think. I'm not patient enough or high maitenance enough I guess. Instead I just wear it down or occasionally up in a ponytail.

28. I don't like wearing contricting things. I hate turtlenecks for that reason. I don't really like scarves either. I feel like I'm being strangled.

29. The 4 things that reoccur the most in my dreams are: my Great Grandma's house (which I haven't been in for probably 12 years), bears, tornadoes and swimming pools.

30. I could probably live in sweatpants, a hoodie and fuzzy socks all winter long. I live for comfort.

  1. I used to be a #8 back in my single days (for the Hawkeyes!). With you on #14. Just did #18. Yuck to #19! #20 - you and Heidi. Why is it everything strange tastes like chicken (#21). #28 - I can wear turtlenecks, but just the thought of it now gives me a hot flash! Absolutely agree with #30. :)

  3. I could relate to quite a few of those! Espeically #12 the memory thing! I have learned that I just have to write things down now...

I pray that you will have a baby soon. I just know you and Jacob will make awesome parents!

Your hair looks great by the way!

This was a fun post to read!
