Looking Forward!

It's been a long while since I've written. Mostly because I post everything on Facebook. Do people even read blogs still!?

If you know me at all, you know that I love to have things to look forward to. Day to day life can be mundane, and just feel like I'm trudging along. When I know I have events coming up it gives me something to get excited about.

It's looking like the rest of the year is going to be great!

In August, the boys and I are heading back to Iowa for a week. While we're there we're going to go to the Balloon Glow. Mom and I are going to the Iowa State Fair to see Reba McEntire too! 19 years ago, she and I went and saw her, and I've always wanted to see her again. My dad will watch the boys and we'll spend the night in Des Moines...kid free!

A couple of weeks later, I get to see one of my favorite comedians, John Crist with some friends from church.

In September, Jacob and I get to take Daniel to a Cardinals autograph party. He's a part of the Cardinals Kids Club, and will get to meet some players and I'm sure do other fun things. Then we'll spend the afternoon in St Louis doing something, and then go back to Busch that night for the game. He has been so excited about it, and I'm looking forward to getting to give him some quality time with both of us.

October...well, you know. It's my FAVORITE month of the year. You just can't bring me down in October. Bring on the pumpkin patches! We'll probably end up going to a couple favorite around here, and I'm sure we'll hit one up in Iowa like usual.

November is birthday month! We'll celebrate both boys here and again in Iowa for Thanksgiving. Erica is flying home for Thanksgiving too. While, it'll be bittersweet that it will be out first turkey day without Grandma, I'm thankful my sister gets to come be a part of the holiday.

December of course brings my favorite holiday. And not only that, but a trip to California! Erica is getting married, and the boys and I (and possibly Jacob) are flying out to celebrate. Daniel is SO excited for his first airplane ride. And God bless my parents who are going to drive to St. Louis to fly out with us and help with the boys.

Those are just the big things. I know life will get super busy when school starts and I know more fun events will pop up too.

Here's to an amazing rest of the year!
