Jacob and I got to go to the Iowa/Illinois game today! It was freezing, but so worth it! The air temperature through the game was mid 30's but with the windchill it was between 23-27. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be though. Of course, I dressed in layers.
I had on 2 pairs of socks. A pair of fleece tights, leggings and jeans. A thermal shirt, a tshirt, and a hoodie. Plus mittens, ear band and a winter coat. Even with all of that it was cold, but I've been to sporting games where it's been 100 degrees and now a game where it was 35. I would take 35 any day. I've discovered I would take winter over summer. What has happened to me!?
The game was fantastic...obviously. I mean, we won 28-0! We had amazing seats. Saw an interception by Desmond King happen right in front of us! I sat by Iowa fans who came from Cedar Rapids. Half the crowd were Iowa fans. It was awesome!

I had to stay to watch the end because I needed this victory picture!

We went back to Kent and Brenda's to celebrate Daniel's birthday which was a lot of fun. He was so excited to open presents and he seemed happy with everything that he got. He kept exclaiming, "Wow! I wanted this for Christmas!" LOL!
Daniel and Mimi share a birthday! Birthday buddies!
All in all, this was a pretty great day. I still can't believe my baby turns 5 this week!
