I'm too tired to write much. I went to my Bible study at church tonight, and just spent the last hour and a half getting James down (that part only took about 45 minutes). Then the rest was spent nerding out over the new car seat I got for Daniel. Although, it's complicated and I have to figure everything out. I've been sitting here watching YouTube videos. My brain isn't processing anymore though, so I'll wait until tomorrow to mess with it more and read through the manual more thoroughly. I figure, if I'm not totally confident in getting the straps right and installed correctly I'll take it to the fire station or police department. Then I have to remember how to redo the straps on Daniel's current seat to switch it back to rear facing for James. I see much sweat and frustration in my future. Mostly because my brain doesn't understand manuals, and I'm super stubborn and want to figure things out myself!
But, yes. I am a car seat nerd. And yes, my kid is turning 5 next week and will still be using a 5 pt. harness. But, it will convert to a booster, which he's excited about. Although, bummed he won't get to use it right away. Safety first!
Other than that, nothing too exciting! Daniel had preschool this morning and then we came home and played outside. This afternoon I chilled during rest time. I got to watch This is Us...and I'm telling you, if you don't watch this show you should! It's SO good. There hasn't been a lame episode yet. Then I indulged in a guilty pleasure and watched Counting On. It was Jinger's wedding, so much excitement. LOL!
Enjoyed my time at Bible Study tonight and I love the group of ladies at my table! Such wonderful women that I can learn so much from! It's my favorite night of the week!
Bible studies really helped me a lot when my kids were younger, not only spiritually but just time with adult women!
ReplyDeleteYou will get the seats figured out I have faith in you.
This is Us is so good, I just watched this week's episode because I was at a game on Tuesday night. I agree, it's so good! I really like watching the story develop
