Thanksgiving Feast

Today Daniel had his Thanksgiving Feast at preschool. He normally only goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but today both classes could come. I dropped him off and then James and I came home for awhile before needing to go back. James actually played with his toys for almost 25 minutes all by himself. I was pretty impressed. I decided to wrap Daniel's birthday presents and ran out of wrapping paper after the first two. Dang it!

James and I went back to preschool at 10:30 and got to see the kids do a little program. They did three songs/ finger plays while dressed as adorable little turkeys!





Then it was time for lunch! It was so yummy and some of the church ladies served us. Of course, I was the one who ended up feasting. James ate a bite of everything and then didn't want anything else. Daniel did okay, but I didn't expect too much. He did spill his water all over the table. He totally takes after me.



Before we left we checked out all of the "Turkeys in Disguise"! They were all so cute and clever!



When we got home Daniel wanted to play out on the porch, so we stayed outside for about 25 minutes. It was chilly, but the sun was shining so it didn't feel too bad.

It was kind of nice not having to get lunch ready for the boys! We hung out and played. Then Daniel got upset about something and went off in a fit of rage. It took awhile to get him (and myself) calmed down. Finally, rest time came and James fell asleep really fast. Daniel was in resting while I was folding laundry. He kept popping in and out of the bedroom asking me random things just to get to come out. I told him to go back in there and stay! I went to put some laundry away, and found this!



That was at 2:45, so I let him sleep until 4. He was not happy that I woke him up, but eventually came around.

We promised him a family movie night tonight. Generally movie nights last about 30 minutes before chaos occurs and we're left trying to watch a movie with 2 crazy boys. Tonight though, Daniel watched the whole movie!! He got up a couple of times but came right back and snuggled up with Jacob! We watched Wall-E and he couldn't get enough of it! James did good too. He'd play, then come and cry because he wanted up with us. I'd let him up and then he'd cry because he wanted to crawl all over us and we wouldn't let him. Silly little guy!

Who knows what tomorrow will bring. Jacob will be gone the whole day, so may the odds be ever in my favor.
