A Busy Day

Today was Daniel's birthday at preschool! He got to take birthday treats, and got a birthday crown and they sang "Happy Birthday" to him. He was very excited about all of it.

I went to get him some cupcakes yesterday afternoon. WalMart had run out of Paw Patrol rings for the top of the cupcakes, so I went to Kroger and they ran out too! She went and looked to see what else they had and once she said Minions I knew I found a winner. Thankfully Daniel was excited and not bummed out. He'll have Paw Patrol stuff on his cake this weekend!

After Kroger, I went to my chiropractor appointment. As I was driving home it dawned on me that I forgot to get a drink for the kids! So, I had to make a quick run into CVS and grab some milk. I don't know how I function. I'm always forgetting things.

I meant to get a better picture on my camera of Daniel with his cupcakes, but we were in a hurry to get out the door, and I didn't have time, so I got a picture of him in the van!

After I dropped Daniel off, James and I went to his 1 year check up. It all went well. They were running on time, so we didn't even have to wait long. I love when that happens! He weighs 23 lbs. 12 oz (gained about 3 pounds since 9 months) and is in the 82% for weight. He measured 32 in. (which I don't think was accurate. I think he's closer to 31.) And he still has a giant head. :) He had to get 3 shots. He did great with the first one. Only a little fuss. By the next 2 though, he was not pleased. Poor guy cried and cried. Then flashed a quick smile to the nurse and then buried his head on me and cried some more. She asked if he could have a sucker? I decided I'd let him have a few licks. He was a sticky mess, but he sure was happy!

Afterward we still had time, so we went to WalMart to pick up a few things, and then since I still had about 15 minutes I drove around the neighborhood so James could nap and so I could search for the umbrella from Daniel's picnic table. It apparently got launched off in the wind the other day! 

I couldn't find it yesterday, but today I spotted it on another street up in someone's driveway! Yay!

Once we picked Daniel up and heard about his day, we went to get his hair cut. He did great and looks SO much better now. His hair was crazy! 

This afternoon we did lunch, played and rested. Now it's about suppertime, and Mr. D needs a bath. He gets to go to preschool again tomorrow. Both classes get to go and then at 10:30 James and I will go back for a program and a Thanksgiving Feast. Can't wait!
