Picture This

I'm grasping for straws with what to write about tonight, so here are my few pictures from our game watching yesterday.

Sad that the Iowa game was not being broadcast on our Big 10 Network

Jacob happy that his Illinois WAS being broadcast

Football games aren't complete without chips and queso. Although I think I'm getting sick of it.

VERY happy that the Hawkeyes won (and moved up to be ranked at #13 by the way!).

This was Jacob freaking out about the game going into overtime. I think this also is fitting of how he felt when the game was over.

I was looking through boxes of old pictures this afternoon and realizing just how many I have. I love taking pictures. Always have. My Aunt Donna gave me my very first camera when I was 4 or 5. It had Mickey Mouse on it (or maybe Minnie) and it even required a flashbulb. That goes to show you how far along cameras have come in the past couple of decades. Documenting moments has always been important to me. Sometimes I look back and wonder why I took pictures of certain things, but other times I look back and I'm thankful that I took pictures. I love capturing moments. Maybe it's because I have a terrible memory and pictures help jog it!

I looked through a couple of scrapbooks today too. I need some inspiration and motivation to work on them again. It's been SO long, and I'm so far behind that it's overwhelming. I work on them for awhile and then when I get stumped or it's not turning out the way I envisioned it, I give up and never end up going back to finish it. So, to my crafty friends. Inspire me. Motivate me! Until then, I'll just keep snapping pictures and storing them here on my computer.

  3. When you said "going through boxes of pictures" I thought of your mom and her boxes and drawers of pictures. I have boxes too, but they're organized boxes. I think I keep putting off scrapbooking them because I make it too difficult in my head that I have to be creative and embellish everything. Maybe I need to just get them in the scrapbooks and worry about the extra stuff later.
I too think it was flash cubes - 4 pictures per cube. No wonder I had to carry a big bag on vacation - for all the extra boxes of film and flash cubes!

  4. I wish I could "motivate" you girl - but I am not that great at any of it. In fact, I probably will NEVER scrap again. I am also going to get rid of a lot of rubber stamps. I thought about getting all of my pictures on a disc or something - but I really don't have that many. I never got a camera until my late teens and I got a great one in Japan - but never used it enough -- oh well. YOU ARE A GREAT SCRAPPER - SO GET ON IT WOMAN!!! Talent like yours are hard to come by!!!
